1950's budget guitars in the hands of kids became the crucible of pop music. Most of the cheap guitars were available from mail order catalogs, department stores and music shops. They were AFFORDABLE! $60 or $75 and that suited the teen age budget. It didn't take long before some songs began to take shape.
