In the Atlantic, south east of Newfoundland, off the edge of the Grand Banks, there was nothing but the boat, the rolling sea and  brilliant stars in the sky. On a night watch, I was amazed by the stars that seemed to be blazing at 'FULL POWER'  because, in that empty quarter, there was NO light pollution. You have to go a long way to find that.
